Been toooo busy...

The past 10 days I have been busy crafting, working, attempting to sleep, but I haven't had much time to blog. I have been able to complete the peacock pillow and finish two custom orders, so I am pretty happy with that. The pillow is for sale on my etsy, but I am planning on re-photographing soon because I don't think the pics I posted to it justice.

Today has been productive too. I have began making some new decoupage pendants...6 in total :). I also just spend almost an hour finding new beads and charms I want to buy off etsy for some new collage necklaces. I wish I could say I purchased them, but I am waiting to see what funds are left after the weekend. I have so many ideas... time and money are such a bummer! I will have more time soon because my current 45hr a week job is almost over (5day :), but then I will really have no money ha. Hopefully something will come my way soon that will still leave plenty of time for crafting (and blogging!) xo <3 L

New week... new projects :)

I have been keeping my weekends for family, friends and JB time.. and so, today being Monday I am back to crafting :). Todays happy task is sewing the final touches on my peacock pillow [after I am done at my jobby-job]! I am really excited about completing this project. Seeing the final product is always makes me giddy. I have a few sketches for a flower [poppy!] pillow that I am going to make next. I also want to make some new pendants. It is going to be a busy week!

Schools almost out for summer...

As some know, I currently work as a full time nanny [as I have for over two years.] Well my lovely job is coming to an end in a few weeks because I am going to graduate school in the fall and although I will miss the kids ...I think what I will miss the most is nap-time! It was the perfect time of day for me to be creative. Everyday I would drag a tote bag of supplies in the door with me and use the hour or so I had at work to sketch, hand sew or bead up something crafty. I will miss those nap-times! I am currently in search of a summer job [and I'm sure a crappy job at that] but I really hope no matter the job that I continue to craft and think artsy thoughts throughout the summer months. It is not easy after a long day of work to go home and put in the hours, especially if the beach is calling my name :) but I am going to do it!

Peacock Pillow

Peacock: I was attempting to take the week off to focus on graduate school application stuff, but that latest all but a day. I got really inspired by some pillows that I saw online yesterday. I am notorious for saying "I can make that" and then never actually doing it, but thats all about to change [I hope.] So here it is...the first crack at my felt/ peacock pillow. I am about half way done with the bird and then it needs to be attacked to the fabric that will cover the 16x16 inch pillow i purchased. I think I am going a little crazy on the details, but I love it all the same.
